Fly Rod Warranty

This guarantee is limited to the Original Purchaser and is not transferable to future owners. If during 3 years of the original purchaser, the rod should break or fail, for whatever reason, simply return the rod, invoice, sales receipt, or proof of purchase and we will replace the rod or damaged/faulty part by return.

If within the first 36 months from the date of purchase the failure is due to a manufacturing fault or material defect, then our normal manufacturer’s guarantee will apply and the rod or part will be replaced free of charge, with the relevant handling/postage fee returned. Fees will apply if the failure was due to user error.

Should the rod in question be discontinued it will normally be replaced with a new model up to a similar value, or there is the option to ‘trade up’ to a rod of a higher value, by paying the handling/postage fee, plus the difference in value between the two models. Please note however, that in the case of discontinued models, if purchased in a clearance sale, the maximum value covered by this guarantee is the price paid and not the original RRP.

I bought the Short Head with Overhang Marker when it was on offer a couple of months ago. From memory, I think I paid £24.99 plus postage, and at that price I would certainly buy another.
The line cast superbly -- ignore the AFTM rating and go by the weight of the head, as my 4wt appears to be convinced it is a 6wt -- but there is one major drawback.
I fish for a couple of hours or so, perhaps five days a week, and this line just isn't man enough for that sort of work.
The coating at the rear of the head, the area which takes the most punishment on shorter casts, began to break up pretty quickly. And let's face it, you are not forever aerialising 30ft of a 4wt, are you?
The line is still useable, and I am happy to treat fly lines as consumable. I just don't want to consume them quite so quickly.
At £25 I would grit my teeth and stump up the cash for another one. But certainly not at more than £60 on my doormat.

7# short head with overhang marker

This is an excellent line, so easy to use. I got it for sea trout fishing at night for use with bigger flies and a sinking tip and it handles everything with ease. It even handles the more delicate work in the daylight hours with small flies.
Also a single hand spey cast with a haul can put out a good distance which makes this line a handy tool when you have trees and bushes behind you.
Top marks 👍

So far so good

I have used this line extensively for the last four weeks and it cast really well. Standing up can put the whole line out and sitting in a boat almost all. Lands straight and floats well using his line slick. One issue the plastic cracked at the welded loop but so far not an issue as I was planning to replace it anyway with a braided loop.

Superb

I tried the short-head line yesterday on a flat calm North Yorkshire reservoir. The line is superb, not only from a casting angle but also on how easy it is to cast. The biggest plus is how gentle I can land the line on the water, not normally easy with such a front heavy line. This lead to me catching really well!!!!
Superb line in every way.

Short head floating line #4

I have owned and use a lot of fly lines from a variety of renowned manufacturers over the years and I have to admit that after I load this line on my reel and went fishing the first time, I was pleasantly surprised. The line behaves extremely well, is very stable in the air and stayed straight directly out of the box (no curling at all). You can do all kind of casting styles, but roll cast you will really enjoy every single time. Great line. Thank you for such a great product.

Fantastic line

Bought this line around 6 months ago. Used for first time recently and very pleased with the distance I am now getting with this line. Has helped improve my distance and presentation.
