Short / Medium Range Dry Fly Floating Fly Line with Overhang Marker
Pre Orders Ship on {DATE_WILL_BE_SHOWN_HERE}
Make close casts feel magic. This micro thin line lands whisper-quiet from 5 to 40 feet. Dries and nymphs sit right, so fish keep rising. It also works for euro nymphing. The white Overhang Marker helps you load fast on small rivers and stillwater.
Description
This micro thin line is tuned for real fishing distances from 5 to 40 feet, giving soft, controlled casts that land quietly. It presents dry flies and nymphs cleanly, so rising fish stay calm, and it also suits euro nymphing. The white Overhang Marker makes loading consistent, ideal for smaller rivers, stillwater, and shorter rods.

This is my favourite small stream line. Presentation is delicate & it loads quickly for relatively short casts. It also roll casts well.
I have this line in 2 and 4 wt and they cast a LONG way, are easy to lift, roll cast well and are accurate. I recommended this line to my fishing buddies and will keep doing so. Until you try one, you can’t know, after you do you will be a believer! The pic is of a 9” Creek Chub caught on my 2 wt rid. You can see the gray colored SC line on the reel, which is the point. I was “Creek Chubbin” and had to make accurate casts at a short (20-25’) distance. This line handled that well, too. The closest trout to where I live are about 200 miles away.
I fished a 7' 6" 2 weight Microlite with 1 weight Stuart Crofts' line & 14' leader. Caught plenty of wild trout
Added this line to my arsenal for beach fishing for salmon on Vancouver Island Canada. It is great for punching distance. I am now carrying this for when I really need to reach out. The bottom "line" would be that it is a fantastic distance line which I now carry to complement my rod. Chum salmon was recently caught on a shallow mud flat with a ~100ft cast, plus leader.
The only caveat I have for those thinking about buying this line is that it does not like to be picked up beyond a few feet past the head, making it a little clunky at a middle distance where you have strip to the head before making a pick up.
Hi Sunray Team,
My first impression is Wow.. ! Used normally the other brands , and this Line is so a completely different.
So thin, no memory, and the loop is so slick / smooth !
The loop it self has no ( or little) coating, and the transition to the line is so slick and smooth.
It runs with no resistant through the guides. The loop we all know, are always stiff and do get caught up in the guides,
the coating will brake after a while.
off course the line casts perfect . (use a 7'' #3 Rod)
( also bought the 50yards Backing, also a perfect product.)
Thank you
Best regards
I paired the #3 SC Dry Fly Line with my G.Loomis NRX LP 8'8" having used DT lines until now. First time out was into double figure wild browns on a large scottish river. I used the line with a 5 1/2 ft furled leader. The line cast very easily with excellent control and mended nicely, accuracy at distance was very good. I had 3 fish after shooting the line a fair bit past the overhang marker, distances I wouldn't have normally attempted with DT lines due to the risk of making a mess, the line cast perfectly. For a couple of hours it got pretty windy, I continued as normal when I usually would have called it a day. Overall the line is a pleasure to use providing a combination of delicate presentation, and accuracy, I honestly didn't think the line would make so much of a difference to my fishing and was a bit hesitant to make the change, very glad I did - excellent product !
I used Line Slik as recommended by Tom, while I can't say how the flotation properties compare to Red Mucilin but I definitely found it much much easier to work with and will also be using it on my furled leaders going forward. I have the World Nymph Line for my Maxia SX 10ft 2wt which I will be trying out just shortly and am looking forward to trying the Hybrid Tippet when fishing dries.
Fabulous product, game changer really on the right Rod,
I ordered the Short/Medium Range Dry Fly Line with Overhang marker. I only lawn cast it but could not believe how easy it was to cast to more than 40-50 feet if needed. It formed tight loops and very accurate. Can’t wait to try it on the water when temps warm up some more.
Great delivery

Best line 10/10
Testing on Kamchatka 👍
My Mrs is fairly new to fly fishing and had convinced herself that she needed a big chunky line to get out to the fish, not so. I got her to “just give it a try”and it works a treat and because it’s easier to cast she doesn’t get tired so easily, she’s now converted to her new line 100%. now I get told off for not telling her sooner lol. I can recommend this line for any beginner the improvements are amazing if you are already skilled you will be pleasantly surprised just how much better you can be with very little effort.
Best line i have ever used great to cast with and had my first 2 fish on it in Swansea south wales
