How to use Lock fly lines
You can plug a Lock fly line into the Lock fly reel or load the fly line onto your own fly reel spool.
Lock Reel Users
Your Lock fly line simply plugs straight into the lock reel.
Using it on a non Lock reel
1. Pull the line off the Lock spool (onto a clean floor) until you reach the backing.
2. Separate the fly line from the backing.
3. Wind the backing from the lock spool directly onto your own reel if you need backing.
4. Wind your fly line onto your reel.
5. Keep the empty Lock spool. Do not throw it away. It is a spare spool that fits directly into the Lock fly reel.
Change your Lock reel from left hand retrieve to right hand retrieve.
