No more coily leaders. No more spooking fish.

Get straight to the point. Don't compromise with leaders that scare fish.

Achieving a dead straight cast is hard enough. Don't make it harder with leaders that are too thick and shiny. Sunray leaders are light grey in the butt section and clear at the tip. This reduces light reflection and make the Nylon softer, creating a more natural presentation.

Straight out of the packet I could tell these leaders were different. They feel designed....like mini fly lines. They do exactly as advertised. Amazing.

Good knot strength and very low visibility to the fish.

"As advertised"

All other leaders I tried were too thick and shiny. These, from Sunray are exactly as advertised, soft and thin.

Jon T

"Drag free drifts"

I use these leaders all the time now after seeing how much drag my old leaders were giving me

Terry L

"Great for clear waters"

The rivers round here are very clear, these leaders get my a very delicate presentation and I've definitely seen my catch rates increase.

"I couldn't find leaders that lay straight and weren't too thick...I designed them like mini fly lines, with balanced tapers"

Straight Line and a Soft Landing

We all know and have seen our leaders land in a 'clump' with a heck of a 'Splash' spooking any fish in the vicinity. Something we don't want to happen.
How did I guarantee! a soft landing time after time after time?
the answer is so very simple 'Buy the proper product of course, Sunray's Straight 'n' Soft Leaders (light grey & clear tip) from the online store another first class product from Sunray that actually works! You might buy yours from a tackle dealer or make your own! But be assured you can only get this modern leader which makes catching more fish, less drop offs and is much kinder to the fish, guaranteeing your sport for another catch and release day. There is only 'one' right way when it comes to fly fishing! That way is the 'Sunray' price is very favourable too! try it yourself. If you want truly straight and soft landings that does not spook fish take a look at the details on the net www.sunrayflyfish.com

A little goes a long way

You may think you’ve cleaned your line but amazing how much crap appears on the tissue / cloth when pulled through a little lineslik . Line then rattles out like a good ‘un .

Straight 'n' Soft Leaders from Sunray

Just as the name say's, they cast straight and feel soft. You may not catch more fish but you won't be able to blame your leader.

Lovely and resilient tapers

As expected, these are great for fishing streams - both for dries and nymphs.
I fish 5X tapers with a perfection loop tied at the butt and a tippet ring at the tip connected to 6X. The tapers seem abrasion-resistant and don't have noticeable memory / coiling.
Ironically, you don't need to use tapered leaders using Sunray micro-thin lines, but with thicker lines, these work a treat.

S'n'S leaders

Hello all and everyone from Norway!

I haven't been able to fish with these leaders too much yet, but I've got about 20 days, so about a hundred hours or so.

I tried a few different things,
1: didn't stretch it, that resulted in it working like a leader from most other companies after they have been stretched.

2: stretched it, it lays straight and it works rather nice through the wind.

3: I didn't come with a perfection loop, so had to make it myself. The knot holds surprisingly well, it doesn't curl up near the loop from pulling it together

4: nail knot, it makes the leader be what it's supposed to be. That slim and perfect nail knot gives a new meaning to flyfishing for those who hasn't tried it.

In the beginning I had a feeling, oh shit, is this gonna hold up with carp and trout? BUT, it most certainly does. And I really enjoy using it, especially since it can be spooled on a tiny reel over a week without having to stretch it again compared to others.

The only thing I want Sunray to consider is to make a tippet for the 6X also. I'm hunting 1-3kgs trout with 6X and a 2wt glass, so it would be really great with a new tippet size also. Btw, I'm using Sunray tippets also

Best regards,

Frank

Does what it says on the "tin" lovely presentation and turnover . Perfect for reducing micro drag by casting an Ariel mend when using small flies .
