Hybrid to najwyższej jakości monofilament z kopolimeru nylonu, pokryty mikro-cienką warstwą fluorocarbonu. Dwa wiązania materiałów łączą w sobie wysoką wydajność obu materiałów.
Wytrzymałość / średnica Kopolimer łatwo się zawiązuje, ale po zamoczeniu traci do 20% swojej wytrzymałości. Powłoka z fluorowęglowodoru zachowuje wytrzymałość końcówki na mokro, co oznacza, że możesz łowić nawet o 20% cieńszą końcówką niż gdybyś używał czystego nylonu. Łowienie cieńszą szczytówką oznacza, że możesz łowić mniejsze muchy, bardziej naturalnie i mniej płoszyć ryby.
Odbicie światła Światło odbijające się od przezroczystej powierzchni płochliwych ryb. Hybryda ma bardzo delikatny szary odcień, który zmniejsza odblaski światła o 60%, co skutkuje większą ilością zaciętych ryb.
Odporność na ścieranie Fluorocarbon jest bardziej odporny na ścieranie niż nylon, ale jest też trochę sztywniejszy. Połączenie nylonu i fluorokarbonu tworzy elastyczny, ale wytrzymały materiał na końcówki, który nie pęka podczas łowienia nad zaczepami. Niezbędne, gdy nimfy są usiane głazami w rzekach.
Sęki Czysty fluorocarbon jest bardzo trudny do zawiązania. Ciepło gromadzi się i zatrzaskuje końcówkę. Nylon jest bardzo łatwy do zawiązania. Połączenie tych 2 materiałów oznacza, że możesz korzystać ze wszystkich właściwości fluorowęglowodoru, ale nadal bardzo łatwo wiązać węzły zimnymi/mokrymi rękami.
Rozciągliwość Fluorokarbon rozciąga się mniej niż kopolimer. Hybryda rozciąga się mniej niż czysty kopolimer, ponieważ jest pokryta fluorowęglowodorem.

Normal Nylon tippet loses 15% of it's strength during the course of your fishing day. Water is absorbed into the material and reduces it's strength. This doesn't happen with Hybrid.
