Hybrid è un monofilamento di nylon copolimero di qualità superiore, rivestito con uno strato micro sottile di fluorocarbon. I 2 legami dei materiali uniscono le caratteristiche altamente performanti di entrambi i materiali.
Forza / Diametro Il copolimero è facile da annodare ma perde fino al 20% della sua resistenza quando è bagnato. Il rivestimento in fluorocarbon mantiene la resistenza al bagnato del tippet, il che significa che puoi pescare un tippet fino al 20% più sottile di quanto potresti se usassi nylon puro. Pescare un tippet più sottile significa che puoi pescare mosche più piccole, in modo più naturale e spaventare meno i pesci.
Riflessione della luce La luce che si riflette sulla superficie chiara dei pesci spettrali. L'ibrido ha una sfumatura grigia molto leggera che riduce il riverbero della luce del 60%, il che si traduce in più pesci all'amo.
Resistenza all'abrasione Il fluorocarbon è più resistente all'abrasione rispetto al nylon, ma è anche un po' più rigido. La combinazione di nylon e fluorocarbon crea un materiale flessibile ma robusto che non si romperà durante la pesca sugli ostacoli. Essenziale quando la ninfa è fiumi disseminati di massi.
Nodi Il fluorocarbon puro è molto difficile da annodare. Il calore si accumula e fa scattare la tippet. Il nylon è molto facile da legare. La combinazione dei 2 materiali consente di beneficiare di tutte le caratteristiche del fluorocarbon ma di fare i nodi molto facilmente con le mani fredde/bagnate.
Allungamento Il fluorocarbonio si allunga meno del copolimero. L'ibrido si allunga meno del copolimero puro perché è rivestito con fluorocarburo.
