Add a tapered leader and tie your tippet to the end. Simple.

Achieving a dead straight cast is hard enough. Don't make it harder trying to make your own leaders with the 70/50/30 formula.

Normal tapered leaders that are too thick and shiny. Sunray leaders are light grey in the butt section and clear at the tip. This reduces light reflection and make the Nylon softer, creating a more natural presentation.
