    Model

The Livestream. A fast action, powerful, yet extremely sensitive rod. Feel takes you would normally miss.

5 piece with sectioned cordura rod tube. The 10' #7 is the perfect floating and sinking line rod for boat or bank. Very powerful and easy to cast but sensitive to set hooks on lighter tippets at range. The ultimate all round competition rod.

Ultra low friction stand off K series anti tangle guides make casting 30% easier. It's as simple as that. Distance required? You've got it. The Livestream is excellent at fishing into strong winds, and also excels at sinking line work.

Perfect for floating line stillwater fishing. The #8 is especially good for Bung fishing or big snakes. The unique aspect is that it has power but does not bounce fish off at close range like most fast action rods do. A firm favourite with competition anglers and Scandinavian sea trout fishers who require massive distances.

    Livestream review

So, most reviews that I read on here are posted shortly after a piece of equipment is purchased. Whilst I completely understand that, I don’t buy into a lot of what is written.

So, I bought a Livestream seven weight rod a number of months ago as a backup for my Orvis Helios. I thought I would wait until it had had a good many outings, in various conditions before putting virtual pen to paper.

It’s now the first rod in the car when I’m off to a Stillwater. It loads the line beautifully and is ridiculously consistent. My wife, who started fishing about twelve months ago and has absolutely no preconceptions about equipment loves this rod, due to its ease of use and power.
My advice is don’t waste your money on the big name brands, until you have at least had the chance to try one of these rods.

Great review Chris. Delighted to hear you both love the Livestream. You're absolutely right, it's a fantastic rod at half the price of some other brands. Many thanks from Team Sunray.

Couldnt get a better Rod than that in my opinion. A fantastic bit of kit would highly recommended 👌if you have the money this is the Rod you need. Had the Rod about 3 weeks now and the more I use it the more I love it. Honestly over the moon with it. 10/10

    Livestream #7

I’ve had this rod for a few months now and feel I’ve used it enough now to give a fair review. The build quality is good, definitely rivals rods of different brands who charge more. The action is forgiving helping you load the rod and fire the flies out to your desired distance. The rod has a nice deep bend when playing fish, allowing you to land the fish quickly, which is ideal for catch and release. Sensitivity is on point, you can feel the fish nibbling the fly. It is a joy to cast, you can easily cover fish at short or long distances, my only gripe is the full wells handle, this is due to a problem I have with my wrists so not really a design problem just my own medical condition. Easily handles all varieties of fly line, I’ve used the short head, SSI, and the fast sinking line with this rod with no dramas. I’ve recently broke the tip of the rod while on a fishing trip, I contacted the support team there and then, Cheryl replied and ordered me a replacement within 2 hours, Sunray customer service is second to none and I look forward to my next purchase, maybe a technique

We are so pleased to hear you're happy with your experience and you're enjoying your Livestream rod. This has put a smile on our faces here at Sunray HQ, so thank you James!
