100% Fluorocarbon Tippet
Breaking strains are 50% higher than stated due to labelling error.
Strength / Diameter Fluorocarbon maintains the wet strength of the tippet which means you can fish a tippet up to 20% thinner than you could if you used copolymer material. Fishing a thinner tippet means that you can fish smaller flies, more naturally and spook less fish.
Abrasion resistance Fluorocarbon is more abrasion resistant than nylon & is also a little stiffer. Fluorocarbon is a perfect tippet material that will not break when fishing over snags. Essential when nymphing over boulder strewn rivers.
Knots Sunray fluorocarbon is easy to knot. Use your normal knots but tuck the tag end and / or wet the knot before bedding down.
Stretch Fluorocarbon stretches less than copolymer so it's great for lure fishing or nymphing.
Sink rate This is the primary use for fluorocarbon. We use this when you need to cut the surface film quickly and get the flies down letting them sink in a natural way without using excessive weight.
